quotes yes you are.. the lighter Beginning stroke keeps things lively over small bumps, while the End of Stoke is slower to keep you from getting bucked..

quotes Specialized's collet design with 3 positions is the best mechanism that I have found. It's clean, has repeatable positioning and is very durable. I had high hopes for the Kronolog, but was concerned about the longevity of the aluminum contact points. I've been so happy with my mission control post that I just picked up a 125mm Black light for the extra 1" of travel. If you're looking for a post, I highly recommend it. PM me if you are want a 100mm (4" travel) 30.9. $160 and includes a full rebuild kit ($30 value). It never needed servicing..

quotes That makes two of us, Khan.. I was itching for DH on the trail, but when this section came up, I was all "um, no thanks"..

quotes Like the song says.. " I'm a Bee!!" .. ah well.. they stand out.. and in racing (and marketing), it's not about blending, but trying to stand out. Black forks would keep them in theme a bit more.. Bzzzzzzzz.

quotes Many thanks for the suggestions. It sounds like the Nomad is the right call for most locations up there. I'd love to hit the wood step-up to road gap at black rock, but I might crap myself if I wasn't on the v10! That line looks like a nice progression up from 'Fade to Black' in whistler.. Everything else the Nomad would would be a lot more sensible.. Looks like the nomad for sure.. still tempted to bring the DH 'security blanket' though... black rock looks scary! (scary fun, that is!) Thanks, Y'all!

I read your comment and all I can say is get that Carbon V10 before Northstar opens, it will be worth every dollar-trust me. I managed to get one and it is by far the coolest thing I own, and it rides sick too! Every chance I get I push it up some hill and it never gets old. The sleek carbon lines make it the nicest looking DH bike out there. Good luck dude!
